About us |
Established in 1989
The program was inspired by an ex-offender who experienced difficulty with her re-entry into society. She noticed the number of repeat offenders in the system, and asked them about the circumstances that brought them back. The common thread was an absence of a support system in the "free world". The Friendship Connection became pioneers in "bridging the gap" between incarceration and a full entry into long term substance abuse treatment.
