A&D Counseling
The Friendship Connection strives to meet the therapeutic needs of each individual by providing individual, group, and family counseling on site. In conjunction with other agencies, individuals receive services for mental disorders, abuse issues, anger management, grief, and etc.

EducationThe Friendship Connection provides educational services such as GED preparation and testing, life coping skills, money management, and parenting classes. Clients also participate in Educational group studies, relapse prevention and job readiness classes.

Referrals To Community ResourcesThe Friendship Connection, as part of our commitment to continuum of care, refers clients to community based agencies that provide psychiatry evaluation, post-traumatic issues, and medical and dental services.

Job Placement
The Friendship Connection assists and encourages individuals to seek and maintain employment. The facility provides referrals and aids in the transportation, clothing, and obtaining of legal documents needed to verify employment eligibility.

Pregnancy Program
In 2002, a program was added to provide similar services to chemically dependent pregnant young women. Twenty-one percent of the women treated were pregnant and have given birth to drug free babies.

Recovery Support Program
As a part of our goal to incorporate the concept of the continuum of care, The Friendship Connection added a Recovery Support program in 1993. This program adds additional support for the graduates by providing a weekly support group and individual sessions. The Recovery Support program (Aftercare) is under the guidance of a Certified Peer Support Specialist. Our Certified Peer Support Specialists are integrated into the therapeutic and educational components of the program.
